1. When you are inside a tracking plan, (this could be an empty tracking plan or a plan that already contains some events), locate the "+" symbol and click on it. This action will open up the panel where you can add new events.
2. Within the event import panel, you will find various options. Look for the "Import from" button and click on it. A drop-down menu will appear, presenting different import choices. From this list, select the option "Existing plan."
3. After choosing to import from an existing plan, the system will prompt you to "Select the source client" This step helps identify the client from which you wish to import events and variables. Once you've chosen the appropriate client, proceed to the next step.
Now, the system will present you with a list of available plans associated with the selected client "Select the source plan". Find and select the source plan that contains the events and variables you want to import into the current tracking plan. This step ensures that you are pulling events/variables from the correct source.
4. Once you have selected the source plan, you will gain access to a comprehensive list of events present in that plan. At this point, you have the flexibility to choose which events and variables you would like to import into the current tracking plan. Unselect any events or variables that you wish to exclude from the import.
This level of customization allows you to cherry-pick the specific data points and events you require, reducing clutter and improving the relevance of your tracking plan.
5. After finalizing your selection, click on the "Import" button. The system will initiate the import process, copying the chosen events and variables from the source plan to the current tracking plan.
